Suncatcher Productions has acquired the theatrical distribution rights to If I Tell You, a family drama directed by Tessa Blake. The film is based on Lisa O’Donnell’s novel Closed Doors and follows a 12-year-old boy as he solves a mystery amid family secrets.

The movie marks Blake’s feature directorial debut and was previously titled Boundary Waters. It was adapted for the screen by Jennifer Manocherian and Blake. Producers include Erin Mae Miller of Ignite Studio and Manocherian of Dog Lives Productions.

The cast features Carol Kane, Etienne Kellici, Allison Miller, Bill Heck, Christopher Jackson and Carmela Zumbado. Additional performers include Kennedi Butler, McKenzie Hays, Tiegen Fryberger and Zelalem Oestreich.

Blake said the project was driven by a desire to bring the novel’s beauty, suspense and emotional depth to the screen. Manocherian noted the story’s unique perspective through a young boy’s eyes and expressed pride in the cast and crew.
