An 18-year-old Indiana man faces four felony charges in the death of a 10-year-old girl who was shot with a gun he had brought to her home.
Jacob Olvera was charged as an adult with criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon, dangerous possession of a firearm by a child, and two counts of possession of a machine gun. The charges stem from the Feb. 7 shooting of Sophia Burks in Mishawaka, Indiana, where she died of a gunshot wound in her sister's bedroom.
