The Cure returned to Poland for the first time in four years on July 4 to headline day three of Open’er Festival 2026. Ethel Cain, Slowdive and Just Mustard also performed sets focused on brooding and euphoric emo rock.
The Cure opened with a glacial version of Plainsong and closed with Disintegration. The set included Pictures Of You, High, Lovesong, Burn, Fascination Street and Just Like Heaven along with a rare performance of Treasure from the 1996 album Wild Mood Swings.
Ethel Cain, whose real name is Hayden Anhedönia, played American Teenager and a mash-up from her EP Perverts. She ended the hour-long set with Gibson Girl, A House In Nebraska, Crush and Thoroughfare.
Slowdive delivered songs such as Catch The Breeze, Crazy For You and When The Sun Hits. Just Mustard made their Polish debut with Seven and closed with tracks from their new album We Were Just Here.
The performances took place on the main stages at the Polish festival amid sunny and rainy conditions.
