Theo Stockselius will continue playing for Djurgården in the SHL during the 2026/27 season. The 18-year-old forward signed a three-year deal with the Calgary Flames earlier this year but has been loaned back to the Swedish club.
The decision allows the young player to keep developing in the SHL. Stockselius joined Djurgården's junior program ahead of the 2023/24 season and appeared in 16 SHL games last year.
He also played a leading role in Djurgården's J20 team winning the SM gold. Stockselius recorded 20 points in 10 playoff games and was named the postseason's most valuable player.
"It feels really good that everything is settled now and that it will be another season in Djurgården," Stockselius said to the club's website. "It felt obvious to me to stay in DIF when it comes to my development."
Sporting director Marcus Due-Boje expressed satisfaction with the arrangement. Stockselius was selected by Calgary Flames in the second round of the 2025 draft.
