A man from Luleå is charged with a double murder that took place in August last year. He was arrested after a failed murder attempt three days later.
On the night of August 25 2025 two men were shot dead with ten bullets in a car in Kallhäll northwest of Stockholm. One victim is linked by police to the criminal network Husbys Hyenor and the other to the Zorbanätverket.
The man from Luleå was arrested in Huddinge after trying to shoot a man in a stairwell. He was sentenced last spring to twelve years in prison for the attempted murder. While in custody he also became a suspect in the double murder.
Police have gathered evidence including phone tracking DNA on taxi money and fingerprints. Prosecutor Maria Hävermark says the motive and any instigator remain unclear. She is expected to seek a life sentence.
