Indonesia's Head of Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri, Irjen Pol Agus Suryonugroho, confirmed that Lebaran 2026 mudik and return traffic flows proceeded smoothly and under control. He made the statement at JTMC Jasa Marga, Jatiasih Toll, Bekasi, West Java, in the early hours of Monday, March 30, 2026.
From the perspective of public security and order maintenance (harkamtibmas), no notable incidents occurred. In terms of traffic safety and order (kamseltibcarlantas), fatalities dropped 30%. "The number of traffic accidents during Operasi Ketupat plus KRYD (intensified routine activities) also fell 7%," said Agus Suryonugroho.
This achievement stems from collaboration between Korlantas Polri and related stakeholders. "This is part of the results of our collaboration to align with Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo's tagline for Operasi Ketupat: 'Safe Mudik, Safe Return, Happy Family'," he added.
Operasi Ketupat 2026 ran for 13 days, from March 13 to 25, and has been closed. Police are now conducting intensified routine activities (KRYD) to anticipate situations, including the second return peak on March 28-29, 2026.
