Of these, 20 bodies were identified on Tuesday, January 27, and handed over to families. The remaining 18 bags are still under identification via post-mortem and ante-mortem examinations.

Search operations resumed on January 27 at 08:00 WIB, with the addition of nine excavators in sectors A and B. Total SAR personnel reached 800, plus 200 Marines deployed using drones, thermal imaging, and tracking dogs. TNI AL Information Service Chief First Admiral Tunggul stated, "The Indonesian Navy has lost 23 of its best TNI AL Marine Corps Jalasena Soldiers who were hit by a landslide disaster while conducting Pre-Mission Training for the RI-PNG Border Patrol Task Force in the Cisarua area."

The disaster also affected civilians, with dozens missing and several found dead. As many as 685 people are displaced at the Pasirlangu Village Office, consisting of 353 in the sports hall and 332 in the village hall. BNPB has distributed logistics aid such as food packages, ready-to-eat meals, foldable mattresses, blankets, and hygiene kits.

Additionally, two Polri members, Aiptu Hendra Kurniawan and Aipda Muhammad Jerry Sonconery, died in a traffic accident involving TNI trucks while heading to the disaster site on January 24. West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan said they died in the line of duty and received a one-level posthumous promotion from the National Police Chief. Search and aid efforts continue until the situation is safe.
