Two municipal officials in Färgelanda have been dismissed following an incident in late March. They entered a politician's office and painted a mustache on a portrait of Jimmie Åkesson.
The incident took place at the end of March. The two officials placed a stuffed bird in the office of municipal board chairman Christoffer Wallins and painted a mustache on the Jimmie Åkesson portrait.
Both have admitted to the act but maintain it was intended as a joke. Municipal director Katrin Siverby stresses that such pranks must never be seen as offensive.
– If one jokes or uses informal elements it must never be perceived as offensive, exclusionary or as an attack on someone's role, assignment or integrity, she says.
