The United Democratic Alliance has dismissed a viral fake statement claiming it disowned Narok South MP Kitilai Ole Ntutu over alleged links to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The United Democratic Alliance issued a statement on Wednesday dismissing a notice circulating on social media. The notice falsely claimed the party had disowned Narok South MP Kitilai Ole Ntutu due to reports linking him to the Wamunyoro movement and Rigathi Gachagua’s Democracy for Citizens Party.
UDA stated that the notice was fabricated and did not come from its official channels. “Beware of fake statements and fabricated posts being circulated online using the UDA Party name and branding to mislead the public,” the statement read.
The party urged members and the public to verify information through official channels and disregard the claims. Ntutu has refuted the allegations of shifting allegiance, describing them as fake news and propaganda.
The clarification comes amid ongoing political faction clashes ahead of the 2027 General Election.
