Vreid confirms Indie Recordings for 'The Skies Turn Black' and details tour

Following the December release of lead single 'From These Woods', black metal band Vreid has confirmed their upcoming album 'The Skies Turn Black' (March 6, 2026) will be issued through Indie Recordings. After five years since their last record and 30 years in the scene, the effort blends foundational Sognametal with expansive new territory.

The 11-track album, which revisits Vreid's roots while pushing creative boundaries through intense sessions in a secluded mountain cabin, builds on the momentum from the lead single and its video.

Previously announced details include production by Anders Nordengen and artwork by Kim Holm.

Vreid will support the release with a major European tour, sharing stages with Hypocrisy, Abbath, and Vomitory across key metal venues.
