Suite à la sortie en décembre du single principal 'From These Woods', le groupe de black metal Vreid a confirmé que son prochain album 'The Skies Turn Black' (6 mars 2026) sera publié via Indie Recordings. Cinq ans après leur dernier album et 30 ans dans la scène, cet effort mêle le Sognametal originel à un nouveau territoire expansif.

L'album de 11 pistes, qui revisite les racines de Vreid tout en repoussant les limites créatives lors de sessions intenses dans une cabane isolée en montagne, capitalise sur l'élan du single principal et de son clip.

Les détails précédemment annoncés incluent la production par Anders Nordengen et l'artwork par Kim Holm.

Vreid soutiendra la sortie par une grande tournée européenne, partageant l'affiche avec Hypocrisy, Abbath et Vomitory dans les principales salles metal.
