Walt Disney World Resort has filed a construction permit indicating a multi-month closure for Refreshment Port, a popular snack kiosk in EPCOT's World Showcase. The permit, involving Walt Disney Imagineering, lacks an expiration date. The spot near the Canada Pavilion has been shuttered since January 12.
Refreshment Port, located near the Canada World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT, closed for refurbishment on January 12. The kiosk offers poutine, including festival specialties, beverages, and soft serve ice cream such as DOLE Whip. It features no interior seating, with recent work focused inside the kitchen behind beige construction walls, as noted last month by Inside the Magic. A photo of the site was shared on Facebook by WDW News Today, showing plywood barriers with no visible external changes. Walt Disney Imagineering filed the new Notice of Commencement on behalf of Walt Disney World Resort. The permit authorizes Icarus Exhibits Inc. to install set elements at the building. Unlike routine maintenance permits handled by Disney's Facility Management team, this one has no end date, suggesting an extended closure. The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival runs through June 1, 2026, but Walt Disney World Resort has announced no special menu items for Refreshment Port, implying it will remain closed at least through that period.
