Multi-platinum band Young the Giant has unveiled their latest single, "Different Kind of Love," from the upcoming album Victory Garden. The track, produced by Brendan O’Brien and the band, calls for optimism amid cynicism. Accompanying it is a new music video and the announcement of their sixth studio album, set for release on May 1.
Young the Giant, known for their multi-platinum success, dropped the single "Different Kind of Love" on February 9, 2026. This release marks a significant step as the band's first under a new deal with Fearless Records. The song, co-produced by Brendan O’Brien—who has worked with artists like AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Dylan—and written collectively by the band, serves as a beacon of hope in turbulent times.
Lead singer Sameer Gadhia elaborated on its message: “In a world inundated by either unprecedented catastrophe or mind-numbing distraction, ‘Different Kind Of Love’ reminds us that all hope is not lost. It’s an invitation to lead with empathy, to care deeply even when it’s easier to shut down or turn away. At a time when cynicism feels like the default, this song believes that hope and unconditional love aren’t naïve, but their own form of extreme resistance.”
The single previews the band's sixth studio album, Victory Garden, slated for May 1. Also produced by O’Brien and Young the Giant, it follows their 2022 release American Bollywood and promises thematic and stylistic continuity with the new track. An official music video, directed by George Gallardo Kattah, accompanies the single.
Fearless Records' Chief Creative Officer Andy Serrao expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “I’m incredibly excited to have Young the Giant at Fearless Records after being a huge fan for over 15 years. We’re proud to be part of this chapter of the bands’ career and honoured to be working with them on such a special album.”
This announcement underscores Young the Giant's ongoing evolution, blending introspective lyrics with their signature sound.
