Lucia & The Best Boys announce new album Picking Petals

Lucia & The Best Boys revealed their sophomore album Picking Petals, due out on July 31 via Communion Records. The announcement includes the new single You Look Like Somebody In Love. The record follows her 2023 debut Burning Castles and features collaborations with Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches and Abigail Morris of The Last Dinner Party.

Lucia & The Best Boys shared details of Picking Petals, inspired by her Scottish heritage and performers who command the stage confidently. The album was produced by Yves Rothman and recorded at Mogwai’s Castle of Doom studios in Glasgow. The band completed the opening track Back Inside My Heart during the first two days of sessions, describing it as a bold synth-fuelled anthem contrasting the earlier single Lonely Girl featuring Lauren Mayberry, released in February after a three-year gap.
