20th Century Studios revealed the acquisition after a competitive bidding process led by executive Michelle Kamme. J.R. Young will oversee the project for the studio. The deal was confirmed by the company on April 13, highlighting the game's potential for cinematic adaptation. It often sees hundreds of thousands of concurrent players.
