Flash floods and river overflows in Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province, began from Tuesday to Wednesday (November 25-26, 2025) due to heavy rain accompanied by strong winds. This caused the water levels of Krueng Beutong and Krueng Tripa rivers to overflow, inundating residential areas. According to the Head of BPBD Nagan Raya, Irfanda Rinaldi, the impact is very severe and has caused extensive damage.
The affected villages span four sub-districts. In Beutong Ateuh Banggalang Sub-district, four villages are flooded: Blang Puuk, Blang Meurandeh, Babah Suak, and Kuta Teungoh. Darul Makmur Sub-district reports nine villages: Ujong Lamie, Lamie, Kuta Trieng, Geulagang Gajah, Kaye Unoe, Tuwi Buya, Suak Palembang, Alue Wakie, and Gunong Cut. In Tripa Makmur Sub-district, 11 villages/gampongs are impacted: Panton Pange, Ujong Krueng, Mon Dua, Neubok Yee PP, Neubok Yee PK, Pasie kebeu Dom, Lueng Keube Jagat, Drien Tujoh, Babah Lueng, Kabu, and Kuala Simpang. Tadu Raya Sub-district has three villages: Cot Mee, Cot Mue, and Alue Siron.
Water heights ranged from 50 centimeters to 180 centimeters in house yards. Currently, most floodwaters have begun to recede, but mud remains on roads and in residents' homes. Irfanda Rinaldi stated, “Saat ini sebagian besar genangan air di lokasi sudah mulai surut, namun banyak menyisakan lumpur di badan jalan dan rumah masyarakat di lokasi banjir.”
