Air Jordan 15 returns without its signature tongue

The Jordan Brand has released an updated version of the Air Jordan 15 sneaker that removes the model's famous overhanging tongue. The revival comes in the classic Black Muslin colorway and keeps other original design elements. It is now available for purchase at select retailers.

The updated Air Jordan 15 features the inner neoprene bootie, woven Kevlar touches and classic leather from the original model. It first debuted in 1999 with a design inspired by the X-15 fighter jet. Billie Eilish previously collaborated on a version of the shoe in 2021. The tongue-less edition has sold out at several stores but remains listed on Kith's website for 240 dollars. Public School is preparing a separate collaboration that retains the tongue element.
