Al-Roumi praises Egyptian horse racing success in Kuwait

Alaa Hamad Al-Roumi, owner of Al-Raya Stud, has commended breeders of purebred Arabian horses with Egyptian bloodlines for their support of racing at the Kuwait Equestrian and Hunting Club. A weekly cup dedicated to these horses has fostered intense competition among owners. The season has seen standout performances from several horses leading up to the 13th meeting.

In Kuwait City, Al-Roumi highlighted the enthusiasm of breeders who continue to back horse racing through a collaborative weekly cup for Egyptian horses at the Kuwait Equestrian and Hunting Club. This initiative, organized with the club's management, has ignited strong rivalry as owners vie for top prizes.

The next Egyptian horse race, part of the club's 14th meeting, is set for next Monday and will be sponsored by Alam Ali Al-Kandari, owner of Al-Nawasi Stud.

Throughout the season up to the 13th meeting, notable achievements include Shahin Al-Mughira, ridden by jockey Faisal Al-Farmawi, securing three victories: the Al-Safinat Stud cup at the 9th meeting, Iris Stud at the 10th, and Al-Danat Stud at the 12th. Sahab won twice, claiming the Al-Raya Stud cup in the 1st meeting and Al-Nawader Stud in the 11th. Shamikh Al-Oseimi also triumphed twice, in the Al-Muriyat Stud cup at the 2nd meeting and Al-Shaya Stud at the 6th. Bukhayta Al-Ghnaim captured two cups from Ajmal Stud and Al-Diwan Stud.

These results underscore the rising prominence of Egyptian-blood Arabian horses, bolstered by dedicated breeders and sponsors, which keeps the sport dynamic and engaging.
