Alan Carr's victory on BBC One's Celebrity Traitors last year has propelled him into a flurry of streaming opportunities. The stand-up comedian emerged as the show's first famous winner, boosting his profile significantly. Now, reports indicate he is starring in an upcoming Amazon Prime Video series, where he will tour with other comedians. This comes after announcements of projects with Disney+ and Netflix, completing a trio of commissions from the major platforms. An insider noted that the BBC might feel overlooked, given Carr's success on their network without a new BBC project announced yet. They highlighted his existing renovation series with Amanda Holden—The Greek Job, Italian Job, and Spanish Job—on the BBC, suggesting some irritation over his shift to streamers. The Disney+ docuseries, titled Castle Man, sees Carr attempting to purchase and renovate a castle for his 50th birthday. He quipped, 'Some men when they have a midlife crisis buy a Lamborghini or grow a ponytail, but me—I want my very own castle. All I want is a turret to call my own—get me over that drawbridge!' Sources describe this show as carrying 'a flavour of The Traitors' due to its castle setting. Meanwhile, a rumored Netflix collaboration with Holden is said to depart from their usual renovation format but still center on a topic dear to them. Carr and Holden recently confirmed they declined the chance to replace Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly on Strictly Come Dancing. On the Table Manners podcast, Carr revealed they said no 'ages ago.' Holden added on her radio show, 'I want to say now that me and Alan are 100 per cent not doing Strictly. We are so flattered to be in that mix. We both are not doing it.'
