Apple TV's Lucky premieres with Anya Taylor-Joy on the run

The crime thriller miniseries Lucky debuted on Apple TV this week, starring Anya Taylor-Joy as a woman fleeing after a $10 million heist in Las Vegas.

In the premiere episode, Taylor-Joy's character Lucky awakens to find her husband Cary and the stolen cash missing from their hotel room at Caesars Palace. She evades FBI agents led by Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor's Billie Rand through disguises and quick thinking, including a ride from a sympathetic driver.

Lucky contacts her imprisoned father, played by Timothy Olyphant, who offers advice on survival. The episode introduces Annette Bening as Priscilla, a crime boss and mother-in-law figure searching for the missing money.

Lucky escapes captivity using improvised tools and sets a pursuing vehicle ablaze before continuing into the desert. The series blends action sequences with dialogue-driven tension across its seven-episode run.
