Arca premieres new music from XXXXX in Barcelona livestream

Arca performed new tracks from her upcoming album XXXXX during a two-hour experimental livestream on July 23.

The Venezuelan artist staged the show in an abandoned factory in Barcelona. Directed by Daniel Sannwald, the transmission aired live on Twitch and YouTube and featured the full album.

Highlights included renditions of Willow, Tacondeando, Grip, Fxck and Finisher. Arca smeared paint and synthetic blood across a canvas during back-to-back performances of Fxck and Finisher.

The 16-track album is scheduled for release on July 31 via XL Recordings. It is her first new music since the Kick pentalogy ended in 2021 and is described as darker and more aggressive.
