Arvid Lindblad sampled World Rally Championship machinery for the first time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and expressed interest in pursuing the discipline after his Formula 1 career.
The Racing Bulls rookie took part in a 1.9-mile forest gravel stage in an M-Sport Ford Puma Rally1 car. He first rode with co-driver Jon Armstrong before driving the car himself.
Lindblad described the run as outside his comfort zone yet highly enjoyable. He said the experience gave him new respect for rally drivers and confirmed that rallying is something he has considered for the future.
Armstrong praised Lindblad's rapid adaptation to F1 and noted the challenges of competing at the top level. The WRC driver returns to action this week in Estonia.
