Bibisara Assaubayeva clinched the women's title with a round remaining after drawing classically with Anna Muzychuk in Oslo. She collected the $75,000 first prize following three classical wins and no losses. In the open event Wesley So maintained a half-point lead over Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu after drawing with Magnus Carlsen and winning the armageddon. Praggnanandhaa completed a hat trick of classical victories by beating Gukesh. Alireza Firouzja won the armageddon against Vincent Keymer after their classical game ended drawn. Zhu Jiner moved into second place in the women's standings with a classical win over Divya Deshmukh.
