In the night from Monday to Tuesday, deputies voted the emergency agricultural law project by 296 votes against 224. The text provides for a potential derogation reintroducing two pesticides.
The bill “for the protection and agricultural sovereignty” was adopted by the National Assembly. The executive refused to put to a vote amendments aimed at removing the article on pesticides.
The text covers several areas including water storage, wolves and remuneration. It also provides for a derogation concerning acetamiprid and flupyradifurone.
If approved in identical terms on Tuesday in the Senate, the project will be considered definitively adopted by Parliament. One year after the Duplomb law, the debate on pesticides remains present in the political class.
