Autonomous launches Intern 2 AI agent device

Autonomous has released Intern 2, a pyramid-shaped hardware device designed to run AI agents on dedicated hardware. The product features voice interaction and comes preloaded with frameworks like OpenClaw or Hermes.

The device is built around an Orange Pi 4 Pro board with an 8-core Allwinner A733 processor, 6GB LPDDR5 memory, and 64GB onboard storage. It adds dual microphones that pick up speech from up to 3 meters and a 5W speaker for voice commands.

Intern 2 runs on the open-source Autonomous OS, which supports multiple agent frameworks including OpenClaw, Hermes, and others. Users can connect it to chat apps such as Telegram, Slack, or Discord for tasks like inbox triage and GitHub monitoring, plus browser control for web actions.

Three editions are offered at launch. The OpenClaw and Hermes versions start at $249, while the Developer edition costs $299. Units ship with free shipping, a one-year warranty, and 30-day returns.
