Ball X Pit, the action-roguelite from developer Kenny Sun and publisher Devolver Digital, has sold 1 million copies across multiple platforms. The milestone comes just weeks after reaching 400,000 sales in late October. To celebrate, three free major updates are scheduled for 2026, adding new balls, evolutions, and more.
Sales Milestone
Ball X Pit hit 1 million copies sold as of December 2, 2025, more than doubling its previous figure of 400,000 from late October. The sales cover Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While the game is also available on Xbox Game Pass, those subscriptions do not count toward the traditional sales numbers.
Upcoming Updates
Devolver Digital revealed a post-launch roadmap featuring three free updates in 2026. The Regal Update arrives in January, followed by the Shadow Update in April, and the Naturalist Update in July. Each patch will introduce new balls, evolutions, characters, buildings, and additional content to enhance the gameplay experience. A trailer teasing these additions has been released, highlighting the fresh elements for players.
Game Overview
In Ball X Pit, players fuse over 60 different balls to battle enemies in autoscrolling levels, blending brick-breaking mechanics with influences from Vampire Survivors and Loop Hero. Outside of combat, the game involves reconstructing the town of New Ballbylon. The title has been praised for its addictive roguelite loop, contributing to its rapid sales success since launch in 2025.
