bank bjb expands access to inclusive housing finance in Karawang

bank bjb supports the government's Program Pembangunan Tiga Juta Rumah by organizing a housing credit socialization event in Karawang Regency. The initiative aims to broaden financing access for low-income residents amid the area's industrial growth. The event drew high-level central and local officials to foster collaboration.

On October 28, 2025, bank bjb and the Karawang Regency Government held the Sosialisasi Kredit Program Perumahan event at Aula Husni Hamid in the Karawang Regency Government Complex. This initiative reflects bank bjb's commitment to the government's program to build three million homes, which not only meets basic societal needs but also drives growth in building materials, construction services, and local employment.

bank bjb Corporate Secretary Herfinia highlighted Karawang's transformation from a rice barn to a national industrial hub with dynamic economic growth. "Demand for decent and affordable housing in Karawang is rising along with the development of industrial areas that attract large numbers of workers from various regions," she said in a press release.

The bank bjb Housing Program Credit is designed for low-income individuals underserved by conventional banking, offering affordable schemes including bank bjb KPR. The socialization ensures shared understanding among stakeholders on financing mechanisms and benefits, accelerating credit disbursement and collaboration between government, developers, and financial institutions.

"With an inclusive approach, bank bjb aims to ensure that regional economic development aligns with improving community welfare through decent home ownership," Herfinia added. Attendees included Minister of Housing and Settlements Maruarar Sirait, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, Karawang Regent Aep Syaepuloh, bank bjb President Director Yusuf Saadudin, and representatives from developer associations, banks, and UMKM communities.

The forum provided an opportunity to build long-term networks for the regional housing ecosystem, while synchronizing policies across provincial, regency governments, and financial institutions. Leveraging its extensive network in West Java, bank bjb uses digital innovations to simplify credit applications, supporting sustainable development and community economics.
