BBNaija introduces ‘The Gambit’ twist, barring two housemates from ₦160m prize

Big Brother Naija has introduced its first twist of the season with a new feature called The Gambit. Two housemates selected by public vote will gain a guaranteed spot in the finale but will be ineligible to win the ₦160 million prize. Voting is now open for one male and one female contestant.

The announcement came during Monday’s live show and on the programme’s official social media channels. Organisers said the two selected housemates will remain in the house until the end of the season and will take part in all activities, but they cannot compete for the grand prize.

Biggie told the contestants that the role offers security in the competition while removing the chance to claim the cash reward. Current Head of House Chimsom Chuka is not eligible for selection.

The twist was revealed less than a day after the new season began, with Chimsom Chuka already named as the first Head of House. Voting for the Gambits is under way and excludes only the Head of House.
