Boca Juniors fans sold out the 2,000 available tickets on Saturday for their Copa Libertadores match against Universidad Católica on Tuesday at Claro Arena. After negotiations with authorities and Conmebol, visiting supporters were approved under strict security measures. The stadium in San Carlos de Apoquindo is expected to be full.
Universidad Católica will host Boca Juniors on Tuesday at Claro Arena for the Copa Libertadores group stage. The Delegación Presidencial de la Región Metropolitana approved 2,000 Argentine fans after talks with the UC concessionaire and Conmebol, which demanded regulatory compliance.
"This is a clear example of what we want for football. We will allow the 2,000 Boca fans in as long as Cruzados meets the conditions set in this meeting," said presidential delegate Germán Codina on Thursday.
The tickets for xeneize supporters sold out on Saturday. Boca Juniors stated purchases required registration in the Registro Nacional de Hinchas for biometric enrollment, with stadium access via facial recognition. A valid passport is mandatory, with no other IDs accepted.
Visiting fans will enter via Av. República de Honduras to Tribuna Ignacio Prieto, doors 64 to 67, between 5 and 6 p.m. for security. Universidad Católica said no tickets will be sold due to operational adjustments for the 2,000 visitors.
