Border 2 crosses Rs 367 crore worldwide, nears Rs 400 crore on day 10

Building on its strong run—nearing Rs 200 crore nett in India by day 5—Sunny Deol's Border 2 has reached Rs 367.2 crore worldwide gross by day 10, with Rs 277.67 crore nett in India. Composer Anu Malik called the success his 'rebirth'.

Border 2, starring Sunny Deol alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, has sustained momentum into its second week. Following its impressive early performance, including nearing Rs 200 crore nett in India by the fifth day after a Rs 121 crore opening weekend, the film added significantly more.

By its second Saturday (day 9), it collected Rs 277.67 crore nett at the Indian box office (India gross Rs 330.56 crore), with overseas earnings of Rs 36.64 crore for a worldwide gross of Rs 367.2 crore. Sacnilk estimates Rs 22.50 crore India nett on day 10 across languages, showing a 26.76% jump from the second Saturday and strong word-of-mouth.

Composer Anu Malik, who scored the songs, became emotional in an IndiaToday.in interview, describing Border 2—sequel to the 1997 hit—as 'my rebirth' and crediting it with elevating Bollywood's military drama genre.
