CDMX and Edomex brace for intense rains and hail this Friday

The Valley of Mexico will face a cloudy Friday on May 22 with showers, heavy rain, lightning and possible hail, according to the National Weather Service.

A low-pressure channel and moisture from the Pacific and Gulf of Mexico will drive the precipitation across the region. Winds will remain light, between 4 and 5 km/h.

Mexico City temperatures are forecast between 14.0°C and 25.7°C. Toluca will see a low of 8.0°C and high of 21.0°C, while Naucalpan ranges from 13.7°C to 25.3°C and Ecatepec from 14.0°C to 27.3°C.

The National Weather Service advises residents to carry an umbrella or raincoat and to drive with caution on wet pavement. The weekend will keep skies cloudy or partly cloudy with lows of 14°C and highs rising to 27°C on Sunday.
