TNA X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander has identified Je'Von Evans as the wrestler he most wished to face during his eight years in WWE. The two North Carolinians have yet to meet in the ring despite Alexander's long pursuit of the matchup.
Alexander made the comments during an interview with A2THEK. He said the match with Evans is the one he left WWE wishing he had gotten.
The champion expressed hope that ongoing collaboration between TNA and WWE could finally deliver the bout he has sought for two years. He referred to Evans as the "Young OG."
Alexander also spoke about the influence of the X-Division. He noted that wrestlers including Seth Rollins, Je'Von Evans and Sean Legacy in NXT have drawn inspiration from its performers and said he aims to push the division further.
