The Los Angeles Clippers have traded Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors. The deal returns the 2019 champion to the team where he won a title and Finals MVP. Toronto sends Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick and several draft picks in return.
The package includes unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033, a 2027 pick swap and second-rounders in 2030 and 2033. Leonard left Toronto after the 2019 title to sign with the Clippers.
The Clippers reached one Western Conference Finals during Leonard's time in Los Angeles. An ongoing NBA investigation into a sponsorship deal with Aspiration remains active.
Toronto finished last season with 46 wins and advanced to a seven-game first-round series. The Raptors now pair Leonard with Scottie Barnes on a roster viewed as a top Eastern Conference contender if health holds.
The Clippers receive flexibility through future draft capital after pivoting from an aging core. Leonard remains eligible for a contract extension with Toronto.
