Discayas' Rolls-Royce sells for P29 million to Igorot Stone Kingdom

The Bureau of Customs auctioned off the 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan owned by contractors Pacifico and Sarah Discaya for P29 million on February 11, 2026, during its third public auction. The winning bidder was Igorot Stone Kingdom Inc., the company behind a cultural theme park in Baguio City. This sale is part of luxury vehicles seized over allegations of tax evasion and illegal importation linked to flood-control projects.

On February 11, 2026, in Baguio City, the Bureau of Customs held its third public auction where the 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan owned by the Discaya couple sold for ₱29 million. This followed two unsuccessful auctions: the first in November 2025 at a floor price of ₱45.3 million with no bids, and the second in December at ₱36.2 million, also without takers.

The winning bidder, Igorot Stone Kingdom Inc., is linked to the Igorot Stone Kingdom Charity Foundation founded by Engineer Pio Velasco. The foundation manages a six-hectare cultural theme park in Baguio made mostly of stone rip-rap walls. It allocates about 5 percent of the park's revenues to help indigent residents in the Cordillera region.

The Rolls-Royce gained public attention from a viral TV interview where Sarah Discaya said she bought the vehicle largely for its 'free umbrella,' a bespoke accessory hidden in the door. Customs seized it along with dozens of other luxury vehicles over allegations of tax evasion and illegal importation tied to flood-control projects questioned by lawmakers. While legal proceedings continue, the auctions have gone ahead under customs rules for forfeited goods.

The Cullinan was not the only Discaya vehicle sold; a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG (2022) fetched ₱15.6 million, a Mercedes-Benz G500 Brabus (2019) ₱15.5 million, and a Lincoln Navigator L (2021) ₱7.1 million. Two Toyota models, a Sequoia (2023) and Tundra (2022), sold together for ₱9.5 million in December. In total, 28 luxury vehicles were seized from the Discayas, including Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac, and Range Rover models.

The foundation has faced its own issues, including temporary closures in 2022 over safety and permitting concerns before reopening the next year.
