Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero free update scheduled for February 19

Bandai Namco has announced a free update for DRAGON BALL Sparking! ZERO, set to release on February 19, 2026. The update includes maintenance from 1:00 to 3:00 UTC, during which certain features will be unavailable. New modes and improvements aim to enhance gameplay on Nintendo Switch platforms.

Bandai Namco Europe published details on February 18, 2026, about an upcoming free update for DRAGON BALL Sparking! ZERO. The update is scheduled to begin at 1:00 UTC on February 19, 2026, with maintenance running from 1:00 to 3:00 UTC on the same day. During this period, Ranked Match and Custom Battle: World Library will be inaccessible to players.

The update targets Nintendo Switch™ 2 and Nintendo Switch™ platforms, with version numbers Ver. 2A013.012.003.009.011 for the Switch 2 and Ver. 2013.012.003.009.011 for the original Switch. Players are advised to apply the update for the best gameplay experience, especially for online play, which requires the latest version and an internet connection for download.

Key additions include a new limited-time mode in Extreme Warrior Time Attack, where players face characters with significantly increased strength. This mode will only be available during the event period. In Versus mode's Battle Together, all stages can now be selected, but this feature activates only when playing the Switch or Switch 2 version on a Switch 2 console with the update applied.

Custom Battle receives expansions with new selectable scenarios, cutscenes, and text options. Other changes focus on improved usability and overall system stability. The game is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
