Elia Cantu has confirmed she is leaving her role as Jada Hunter on Days of Our Lives after nearly four years.
The actress shared the news in an Instagram post, describing the departure as bittersweet. As I say goodbye to 'Days of Our Lives,' I'm excited and looking forward to the next chapter, Cantu wrote. Leaving 'Days' is bittersweet, but I step away full of gratitude, and joy for what's ahead. Cantu joined the soap in July 2022 and portrayed Jada, the daughter of the late Dr. Marcus Hunter. Her character appeared in several major storylines, including a poisoning incident involving her sister and an engagement to Rafe. Fans had speculated about her exit since March, when she and co-star Galen Gering were moved to recurring status. Cantu thanked the cast, crew and viewers for their support.
