A fully developed fire broke out in a pellets factory in Vansbro on Good Friday morning. Rescue services from four stations were alerted to the scene, and the blaze was extinguished by around 1 PM. No injuries have been reported.
Rescue services were alerted early on Good Friday morning to an industrial area in Vansbro about a fire in a storage building at a pellets factory. The blaze was described as fully developed with open flames.
"It's burning in a storage building. It's burning with open flames, so it's a fully developed fire," said Claes Hagenmarck, duty officer for the rescue services. Four stations participated in the extinguishing efforts due to the risk of spread to nearby buildings.
By around 1 PM, rescue services announced the fire was extinguished and after-extinguishing was underway. "It's going well, we've put out the fire and are starting to scale back forces now. After-checks will continue," Hagenmarck told Falukurriren.
The latest status report at 13:09 indicated a downward trend. The operation is expected to last another three to four hours before transitioning to monitoring. No reports of injuries exist.
