Gilda ‘N’, sister of Emilio Lozoya, detained near AICM

Federal prosecutors detained Gilda ‘N’, sister of former Pemex director Emilio Lozoya, near Mexico City International Airport on Thursday, July 2.

The arrest warrant was executed for probable involvement in operations with illicit proceeds. FGR agents, coordinated with the SSPC and SEMAR, carried out the detention.

Prosecutors link Gilda ‘N’ to the Agronitrogenados case. Investigations indicate she acted as a front for a company and became a beneficiary through a rights transfer from her brother. The funds allegedly originated from a financial triangulation scheme without valid economic justification.

Emilio Lozoya faces proceedings in the Agronitrogenados and Odebrecht cases. He has remained under house arrest since 2024 following his extradition from Spain. The FGR also secured the seizure of a mansion he owned in Miguel Hidalgo borough, valued at more than 51 million pesos.
