Gloss Up, real name Jerrica LaShay Russell, posted from her hospital bed on Sunday claiming her foot had been amputated. “I Almost Lost My Life,” she wrote, adding it was “My Birthdayyyyy” and she was “SAD ASFFFF.” She later noted she was heading into surgery to try and save it.
Her team quickly clarified the outcome on Instagram Stories that evening. They shared graphic photos of the injury and confirmed doctors “were able to save her foot” while thanking fans for prayers during “this incredibly difficult time.”
Fans flooded the comments with shock at the images and relief at the news. One wrote they “Woulda Said My Foot Gone Too,” while others admitted swiping despite the warning.
