New promotional videos for Saturday Night Live were released on March 12, 2026, ahead of Harry Styles' return as host and musical guest on March 14. In the teasers, Styles, dressed in a yellow T-shirt with cinnamon rolls, interacts with SNL cast members Jane Wickline and Chloe Fineman.
Styles admits, “I’m sorry if I seem a bit off. I’m pretty nervous standing next to Jane.” Wickline replies, “Harry, you promised you wouldn’t catch feelings.” Fineman interjects, “I’m sorry, is there something going on between you two?” Styles confirms, “There always has been. The original title of my album Fine Line was Fine Wickline.” Wickline scolds, “Harry, I’m at work,” prompting Styles to apologize, while Fineman adds, “And I’m here too!”
The promos also include Styles describing a dream about spider frogs complimenting him as “pretty,” Wickline noting she will perform in the musical guest spot, and Fineman suggesting Styles take a “chill pill.” After Styles exits, Wickline says, “I’ve never liked him.”
This marks Styles' second time hosting and performing on SNL, following appearances with One Direction three times and a solo performance in 2017. He recently made a cameo during Ryan Gosling’s SNL monologue. Styles is promoting his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, released on March 6, 2026, with singles “Aperture” and “American Girls.” The album received a four-star review from NME, described as his most exploratory work yet.
On the same day as the promos' release, Styles performed in BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, covering Tears For Fears’ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” and tracks from the new album. In a related interview, he discussed the meaning of “Dance No More,” linking it to the emotional release in Joni Mitchell’s “People’s Parties,” saying, “Laughing and crying, it’s the same release.” SNL airs at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and streams on Peacock.
