Harry Styles opens Mexico City residency with vibrant performance

Harry Styles began his six-night residency at GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City on July 31. The British singer performed for more than 68,000 fans as part of his Together, Together tour.

Styles delivered a 120-minute set that mixed hits such as “As It Was,” “Watermelon Sugar” and “Sign of the Times” with songs from his latest album. He thanked the audience in Spanish and waved a Mexican flag during the show.

The concert included several standout moments. Styles changed an interlude in “Italian Girls” to shout “¡Viva México! Los amo con todo mi corazón,” drawing a standing ovation. Fans lit up the venue with the colors of the Mexican flag during “American Girls.”

A powerful chant of “¡Harry, hermano, ya eres mexicano!” echoed through the stadium before “Fine Line.” Styles closed the night with “As It Was” while running along a catwalk and waving the flag again.

The Mexico City Chamber of Commerce estimates the six shows could generate between $145 million and $171 million for the city. Jorja Smith served as the opening act.
