Haven collaborates with OTW by Vans on Authentic 44 Vibram shoe

HAVEN is releasing the Authentic 44 Vibram shoe in collaboration with OTW by Vans, drawing inspiration from Dieter Rams' functionalist design and Peter Kapos' clarity. The shoe features a monochrome upper of nubuck and suede with a durable Vibram outsole. It will be available starting March 20 at HAVEN.

HAVEN's partnership with OTW by Vans reinterprets the classic Authentic silhouette through a lens of restraint and utility. The design philosophy aligns with Dieter Rams' legacy and the insights of design historian Peter Kapos, prioritizing objects that are precise and enduring, often summarized as a “Less, but Better” approach, as noted in the announcement taking cues from Rams. The upper combines velvety nubuck and textured suede in monochrome colorways of black and white, creating visual depth via material contrast rather than colors. This construction aims for long-term relevance. A key element is the Vibram outsole, which boosts durability and performance while preserving the shoe's familiar shape. Branding remains understated to highlight craftsmanship and materials, fitting HAVEN's ethos and OTW by Vans' premium focus. Colorways are listed as “Black” and “White,” with SKU and MSRP marked as TBC. The release is scheduled for March 20, available at HAVEN. A post was shared by HAVEN (@havenbrand).
