Horse Lords announce new album and 2026 tour dates

Experimental rock band Horse Lords have revealed their upcoming album Demand to Be Taken to Heaven Alive!, due out on June 12 via RVNG Intl. The announcement includes two new singles, “Eureka 378-B” and “Brain of the Firm,” each with videos directed by Scott Kiernan. The band also shared dates for a North American summer tour and European shows.

Horse Lords recorded Demand to Be Taken to Heaven Alive! between Berlin and Baltimore. This marks the experimental rockers’ first album to feature vocals, following their 2022 release Comradely Objects. The core lineup of Owen Gardner, Max Eilbacher, Sam Haberman, and Andrew Bernstein expands to include bass clarinetist Madison Greenstone, trombonist Weston Olencki, and vocalists Nina Guo and Evelyn Saylor. The tracklist comprises 12 songs, starting with “Eureka 378-B” and ending with the title track. The Pitchfork article on March 17, 2026, highlighted the singles' release alongside the album news. Tour plans feature a North American run in July, hitting cities such as Minneapolis at The Cedar on July 11, Madison at Art Lit Lab on July 12, Buffalo at Torn Space Theatre on July 16, and Los Angeles at The Getty Center on July 25. European dates include May shows in Gent and Brussels in Belgium, and Bologna and Turin in Italy; a larger November tour covers Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, the UK, and Poland. Earlier, their song “May Brigade” ranked No. 95 on Pitchfork’s 100 Best Songs of 2022 list.
