Indra's board has appointed Josep Maria Recasens, formerly president of Renault Spain and Anfac, as the company's new chief executive. The executive will join on June 17, 2026, replacing José Vicente de los Mozos. Amber Capital is also leaving the board of directors.

Indra's board accepted the Appointments Committee's recommendation and appointed Recasens following De los Mozos's resignation. The change follows the government's decision not to renew the former chief executive's contract, which was due to expire on June 30.

Recasens, a Catalan engineer with over 20 years in the automotive sector, has held roles at Seat and Renault, where he was global head of Strategy, Product and Program Management. He will work alongside non-executive chairman Ángel Simón.

At the same time, the Amber Capital fund, linked to Prisa shareholder Joseph Oughourlian, is leaving the board after falling below the required threshold. Pablo Jiménez de Parga will be replaced by independent director Magdalena Bertram from June 28.

De los Mozos stated on LinkedIn that during his tenure Indra's share price more than quadrupled and left the company more solid and global.
