InsightPlay.ai raises $500,000 seed round for AI gaming platform

InsightPlay.ai, a software company providing digital transformation solutions for the gaming sector, has closed a $500,000 seed funding round backed by industry angel investors. The funds will accelerate development of its AI platform aimed at gaming operators in regulated markets. The timing aligns with upcoming industry events like the SBC Summit Rio.

InsightPlay.ai has secured $500,000 in seed funding from experienced angel investors, including former executives from DraftKings, PokerStars, and Scientific Games. The investment, announced on January 18, 2026, will support the rapid advancement of the company's AI platform, which serves as an infrastructure layer for compliance, player engagement, and operational efficiency in the gaming industry.

The platform features voice and text conversational agents for player acquisition, reactivation, and support, alongside real-time data analytics, marketing optimization, regulatory compliance, and responsible gaming modules. Designed as a unified system rather than isolated tools, it adheres to standards like ISO 27001 and GDPR. InsightPlay.ai already serves clients in Latin America, Europe, and North America.

Cristian Barbosa, COO and co-founder, highlighted the strategic timing: “This fundraising positions InsightPlay.ai at the right moment, just in front of the SBC Summit Rio. We’re headed into 2026 with strong commercial traction, enterprise-level foundations, and a clear roadmap to scale globally. SBC Rio will be an important milestone to deepen our partnerships and demonstrate how AI can truly transform player engagement in regulated markets.”

CEO and co-founder Javier Troncoso emphasized the broader vision: “The support we’ve received is a reflection of a shared belief: AI in online gaming needs to move beyond isolated functionalities to become a core infrastructure.” He also noted the focus on Latin America, particularly Brazil amid events like the World Cup, and plans to attend SBC Summit Rio to discuss compliant AI deployment.

Investor Jeffrey Haas, a former executive at DraftKings and PokerStars, reviewed multiple startups before committing. The funding will drive product roadmap enhancements, strategic partnerships, and expanded presence in Europe and the Americas. InsightPlay.ai will participate in ICE Barcelona 2026 with live demonstrations of its AI agents.

As regulations tighten in maturing gaming markets, the company's emphasis on scalability and compliance positions it as a key player for 2026 and beyond.
