Jack White, previously unannounced for Coachella, will perform a 45-minute set on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the festival's Mojave tent. The addition appeared in the official set times posted to the festival's Instagram on Tuesday. This comes shortly after White's recent Saturday Night Live appearance.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival revealed the surprise inclusion of Jack White in its set times announcement. The post on the festival's official Instagram account read “STFU,” with the parenthetical explanation “(Set Times for U).” White opens the Mojave tent, followed later by Interpol and PinkPantheress on the same day. His website lists only an April 11 Coachella appearance, indicating he may skip the second weekend. The performance is scheduled exactly one week minus a few hours after White's April 4 appearance on Saturday Night Live. There, the artist debuted two new songs released the day prior: “Derecho Demonico” and “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs.” It marked his fifth time on the program. White's most recent album, No Name from 2024, received praise from Rolling Stone as featuring “some of the best, most lively garage-blues crunch he’s given us in many, many moons, with just the right amount of eccentricity thrown in.” Beyond Coachella, he has summer dates across continental Europe and a subsequent U.S. show at New York's Borderland Festival in East Aurora.
