Ji Yeon Soo uploaded the video on June 29, 2026, responding to stories about ex-husbands showing off luxury items while missing payments. She stressed that child support belongs to the child and is not extra money for the recipient.
According to Ji Yeon Soo, Eli pays her ₩850,000 KRW monthly, above the minimum ₩640,000 KRW for the youngest children. She noted the outdated table fails to match rising living costs and that payments continue until high school graduation.
The former couple married in 2014, welcomed a son in 2016, and divorced in 2020. Ji Yeon Soo advised single mothers to live with zero expectations around support and to seek part-time work instead.
