The Recording Academy has announced the nominations for the 68th Grammy Awards, set for February 1, 2026, in Los Angeles. Kendrick Lamar tops the list with nine nods for his album GNX, followed by Lady Gaga with seven and Bad Bunny with six, achieving a milestone for Spanish-language music. The Puerto Rican artist is the first in Spanish to be nominated in the three major categories in one edition.
The 2026 Grammy nominations were revealed on November 7, 2025, at 8 a.m. Pacific Time, via a livestream on social media and online. Kendrick Lamar, the California rapper, secured nine nods thanks to his album GNX and the collaboration Luther with SZA, which already won him awards last year for Not Like Us. Lady Gaga makes a strong return with seven nominations for Mayhem and the track Abracadabra, contending in album, song, and record of the year.
Bad Bunny earns six nominations with DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, breaking records as the first Spanish-language artist nominated for album, song, and record of the year in the same edition, repeating the feat of Un Verano Sin Ti in 2022. Sabrina Carpenter and Leon Thomas also tally six each for Man's Best Friend and Mutt, respectively. Justin Bieber returns with four for Swag.
For album of the year, contenders include DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS by Bad Bunny, Mayhem by Lady Gaga, Swag by Justin Bieber, Man's Best Friend by Sabrina Carpenter, Let God Sort Em Out by Clipse, GNX by Kendrick Lamar, Mutt by Leon Thomas, and Chromakopia by Tyler, the Creator. Song of the year: Abracadabra by Lady Gaga, Anxiety by Doechii, Apt. by Bruno Mars and Rosé, Golden from the film KPop Demon Hunters, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS by Bad Bunny, Wildflower by Billie Eilish, Manchild by Sabrina Carpenter, and Luther by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. Record of the year features Abracadabra, Luther, Anxiety, Apt., DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, Manchild, The Subway by Chappell Roan, and Wildflower.
Best new artist: Olivia Dean, The Marias, Katseye, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young. Taylor Swift is ineligible with The Life of a Showgirl, released October 3, 2025. In Latin categories, Alejandro Sanz competes for best Latin pop album with ¿Y ahora qué?. The Academy added 3,800 new voters, including Latin members. The ceremony will be at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, broadcast on CBS in the U.S. and Paramount+ worldwide.
Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Academy, stated: “People around the world recognize our golden gramophone as a symbol of excellence in the industry.” In 2025, Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar were the top winners.
