Kenny Loggins performs Footloose medley on The Tonight Show

Kenny Loggins joined The Tonight Show for a medley of his hits performed on classroom instruments. Kevin Bacon appeared midway to perform Footloose together with The Roots.

The performance featured toy guitars, xylophones and kazoos. It included versions of I’m Alright, Danger Zone, Footloose and Celebrate Me Home.

John Lithgow interrupted in character as Reverend Shaw Moore from Footloose. Kevin Bacon responded in his role from the film by urging everyone to dance.

Loggins wrote Danger Zone for the 1986 film Top Gun. The movie marks its 40th anniversary this year.

Earlier this year Loggins was named to the Songwriters Hall of Fame class of 2026. The induction ceremony was scheduled to take place on the evening of June 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
