Kim Wilde is spilling details from her time opening for the King of Pop. The 65-year-old shared memories of the 1988 European leg in a recent chat.
Wilde supported Michael Jackson across 33 dates, including seven straight nights at Wembley. She called the experience "incredibly inspiring" and said watching him at his peak raised her own game as a performer.
The Kids in America singer learned plenty standing side stage with his manager Frank DiLeo. She noted Jackson owned every moment on stage and stayed mostly elusive, which she found normal for stars of that level.
Wilde only met the charming icon briefly for a publicity shot. She also credited her father Marty Wilde as another major influence.
Her 13-date The Singles Tour is scheduled for March 2027 across England and Scotland. So… did the Bad Tour set the bar for every gig since?
